An unnatural balance of nutrients threatens biodiversity. A global network of researchers who have tested the impact of increased nutrient level is having on grasslands.Researchers used the Charles Darwin 'entangled bank' observation to explain how species can coexist even if they have similar resources. A number of species should not be sharing resources. The species should be competing for their resources. The researchers found out that if you change their limiting resources and if you add phosphorus, nitrogen, and potassium, which would lead to favoring specific species because the competition would be shifted. This would lead to one species having dominance over the land area. Human influence has a great influence on the grasslands, and can be very damaging. Human influence on the nutrient cycle, greater globalization has damaging effects on biodiversity in ecosystems.
Humans need to try not to have such harmful globalization because if it gets too bad it can change the biodiversity which is not good and with effect the ecosystems greatly. I think humans need to be aware of the problem.
